An amazing close encounter with a mother humpback whale and her curious calf -who had me finning backwards while trying to take these photos on recent trip to Vava'u in the Kingdom of Tonga. Canon Powershot A80 with WPDC900 underwater housing, using natural light as artificial light disturbs the whales and is prohibited in interaction guidelines! Photos taken on August 29th 2005.
