Currently our owners are Vernon from Australia who is a PADI MSDT. Vernon has worked and travelled all over the world and has spent a great deal of time working and diving in the Red Sea. Khoa, co owner of Nitrox Guru is from Nha Trang is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor. We also employ an Irish PADI Instructor and several Divemasters from all over the world.

Boat Description:

Seats twenty people with a sundeck on top for those working hard on their tan. The Nitrox Guru boat has a marine toilet and is equipped with a fresh water shower. There is Emergency O2 and a fully stocked first aid kit on board as well as lifejackets for children and adults. Our boat has a kitchen where our chef prepares a freshly cooked lunch everyday.

Sites Visited:

Madonna Rock, This dive site has everything to offer all levels of diving.For the advanced diver there are three exciting swim throughs starting at 16m and the last swim through coming out at 6m. the dive can start at 25m making your way through exciting rocky scenery to shallower depths. For the less experienced diver this site also offers a beautiful coral gardin ranging from 5m to 10m in depth. In this site you can find a wide variety of fish life including, butterfly fish, parrot fish, nudie branches, trigger fish, trumpet fish and bannerfish. This dive site is situated at the eastern tip of Mun island and can be visited by larger sea life such as rays, turtles and schools of yellowfin Barracuda.

Mahaman Beach, This dive site is situated in a sheltered cove east of Madonna Rock. This dive offers beautiful fish life and a wide variety of coral species including brain coral, staghorn coral and blue coral. Because of the quantity of coral this site also hosts a wide variety of fish life including, if you look carefully, octopus and cuttlefish. The dive is between 5m to 12m and suits all levels of diving.

Pipe Beach, This dive site is a very popular Mun Island site. It is named after the Pipe Fish which are common in this area. There is a sandy area, suitable for training dives, which joins to a beautiful coral area. The coral area stretches to the east along the coast going from 5meters down to 14 meters and hosts an abundence of life.

Moray Beach, This is also a perfect spot for training dives due to nice flat sandy areas. This site also hosts a shallow corral garden at 5 to 8 meters and as the name suggests it is home to many Moray Eels, Some of which grow to an impressive size in a variety of colours. The site is also perfect for snorlking tours as there is a roped off area protected from boat traffic situated over the coral garden.

Fisherman Bay This is a favorite dive site off Mun Island located in a sheltered cove. It has a rolling underwater landscape with massive corals. Allyways between the corals give a surround view of their inhabitance which includes anemone loving Clown Fish, Sand Lizard fish, giant Puffer Fish and Octopus.
