Frontier Scuba

Frontier Scuba is based in Puerto Galera Philippines. Starting in February 2007 we will be offering guided experditions to interact with the whale sharks of Donsol, Philippines. Packages include Manila hotel, round trip air fares, 3 night/ full board resort accommodation and 3 days of interacting with whale sharks. Peak months for interactions are February to May when we often swim with 15 or 20 sharks a day. Groups are kept small and expeditions can be combined with dive packages to Puerto Galera.

Boat Description:

We operate two 15 meter purpose built dive boats, complete with marine radio, cell phone, oxygen and first aid equipment.

Sites Visited:

Donsol: Snorkelling with Whale Sharks. In 2006 we interacted an average of 18 times a day with whale sharks. generally, we were within 1 meter of the sharks. Average interaction between 15 and 30 minutes. The whale sharks average 5~9 meters and are almost all males. 1 in 20 sharks are female - generally mature adult 8 meters+
