Octopus Resort Fiji

Octopus resort caters to a hugely diverse market. We range from immaculate dorm style accomodation to 5 star air-conditioned luxury and everything in between.

20 Meters from our beach edge is some of the best snorkelling in the Yasawa's. Wake up every day, put on your mask and fins, then sneak in a pre- breakfast viewing of our resident leopard shark(more like a domestic cat), fine colored finger corals, soft corals and an amazing array of sea life. Having made an agreement with the local village to have a marine reserve at the resort, we have protected this amazing resource for years to come. Octopus resort is also currently developing other reserves in the area.

After breakfast enjoy a two tank dive with-out having to travel more than 15 minutes from the resort. Octopus runs its own dive shop and has a purpose built 28ft boat to service its dive sites. We have 2 on-site dive instructors and 2 dive masters which are all passionate about what they do. With water temperatures never dropping below 26 degrees Celsius, it is the perfect place to learn to dive.

At Octopus we believe it is imperative for good diving to get great food. We pride ourselves on our selection and quality. Our original sand floor restaurant serves up an A la carte lunch every day with dinners ranging from Seafood BBQ's to immaculate three course meals. Not to mention the lasting friendships you will make every evening.

So make Octopus Resort your next location for an incredible dive holiday.

Our hosts greeted us warmly at the jetty. Both Kit and I were still jetlagged and slightly overwhelmed at the welcome. A small kava ceremony was given to us and after a brief tour and chat we made our way to dress for dinner.

Populations of large marine predators such as sharks are in dangerous decline. Recent scientific studies report declines of up to 99% for several shark species such as the oceanic whitetip shark in the Gulf of Mexico. Studies also indicate that the reduction in number of larger coastal species such as bull, hammerhead, and tiger sharks may be as high as 80% in the Atlantic Ocean.
