Maldives Siren

S/Y Maldives Siren was built by divers for divers with every thought of comfort for the modern diver. Unlike other Maldives liveaboards that use a “dive dhoni”, the S/Y Maldives Siren has her own dive deck and 2 inflatable dinghies to bring divers directly to dive sites, in smaller groups, ensuring your dives are less crowded.

Boat Description:

The 34 metre S/Y Maldives Siren liveaboard has been designed and built by Worldwide Dive and Sail on the island of Sulawesi. She is a traditional Indonesian ‘gaft-rigged Phinisi’ handcrafted from ironwood and teak. The cabins are either fixed double or twin bed, however we offer flexibility with 2 cabins which can be converted from twin to double. There are also 2 triple bed cabins which may be used for full charter to suit the needs of our guests. She offers a spacious dive deck with personal storage and a sun deck with cushioned loungers. The S/Y Maldives Siren has been custom-made with all the luxury facilities for the modern diver. In particular, this vessel has been specialised for the Underwater Photographer and Videographer with designated camera charging tables and large rinse tanks. View your photos on our large plasma screen too!

Aboard the S/Y Maldives Siren we welcome up to 14 guests each trip. This ensures abundant space for all divers. However, she has the facilities and ample room to host up to 16 guests on special charters.

Sites Visited:

Siren Fleet offers 4 different itineraries whihc cover the main atolls, each including a variety of kandus (channels) thilas (Submerged reefs) and Giris (pinnacles)as well as a selection of coral covered wrecks.

Ari Atoll is superb for schooling reef sharks, whale sharks and eagle rays. Baa Atoll & Hanifaru Bay are famous for manta ray sightings Noonu Atoll is the place to spot for leopard sharks & guitar sharks Vaavu Atoll has the best night dive where nurse sharks and balck tips gather in large quantities as well as marble rays which come right up to divers. Huvadhoo in the deep south is the best place for a variety of shark species and mola mola can also be spotted here. At Laamu Atoll we have a "secret shark spot" where whale sharks come to visit the liveaboard allowing guests to have a night snorkel with them.

On any itinerary you can expect to see grey reef sharks, white tip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasse, schools of snapper, batfish, barracuda, triggerfish and turtles as well as some smaller creatures including sponge snails, ghost pipefish and flatworms.
