Similan Scuba Adventures is an international diving school located in Khao Lak, Thailand. We specialize in daytrips and live-aboard cruises to the world-famous Similan Islands as well as to the neighboring sites, Koh Tachai and Koh Bon.

Additionally we offer a full range of SSI and PADI certification courses. Our team of professional scuba diving instructors can take you from beginner to Pro while you dive the Similan Islands.

Similan Scuba Adventures - Boats

Angel One is a newly rebuild liveaboard with modern diving and navigation equipment. It is a 25 meter long and 5½ meter wide vessel able to operate offshore under any weather conditions. With a 450 hp marine diesel engine, it reaches a cruising speed of 12 knots. Two brand new Coltri Sub Scuba compressors along with new Mares rental equipment ensure that diving will be safe and enjoyable. The lower deck contains the galley, two head/shower combinations, accommodation for 12 guests, a staff quarter, and a comfortable salon with sofa, TV, video, and stereo system. The upper deck is equipped with a covered dining area and a huge sundeck. The safety equipment includes 100% pure oxygen, first aid kit, life jackets, CB radio, GPS, sounder and fire extinguisher. Our crew is frequently trained to deal with any kind of emergency.

Our speedboat Angel II was designed to transport our guests to the Similan Islands in the shortest time possible. It is 12 meters long, powered by two 200hp V6 outboard engines and can reach the Similan Islands within 60 minutes. The certified capacity is 35 passengers. But due to safety reasons and comfort we will carry a maximum of 25 passengers only.

We proudly welcome the newest addition to our fleet, The Angel III. This 11 meter long, 2.7 meter wide speedboat is powered by two Yamaha 200hp outboards. She is able to comfortably transport customers while traveling at speeds of over 35 knots! Different from most speedboats in design, she navigates the open sea steadily and without undesirable rocking in adverse conditions. The Angel III provides ample space for up to 8 divers and features a galley plus a head/shower combination. A foldable sun roof assures for comfort and safety in the backseat area. Safety features on board are equal to those of our Angel One vessel. She is truly a modern impressive boat unique to this area.

Similan Scuba Adventures - Diving Daytrips:

Daily, around 08:00am the Speedboat starts from Tab Lamu harbor in Khao Lak bound for the Similan Islands. The early start and the 35 knots speed assure that we reach the Similan Islands in approx. one hour, enabling us to have a relaxed and comfortable day at the Similans giving us the chance to dive before the other daytrip boats arrive.

The Angel One is moored at the Similan Islands, supporting our plan of dives on four different dive sites per day as both boats sail to different dive spots. As soon as the speedboat arrives, the divers board the Angel One, while the snorkellers stay on board, assuring that they will visit prime snorkelling sites which are located away from the dive sites. The long surface interval offers plenty of time to relax, swim and enjoy the tropical beaches.

The second dive will be conducted at 1:30pm. None diving guests can enjoy snorkeling the picturesque coral reefs that surround the islands again, as our Angel Two speedboat will transport snorkeler’s to the best accessible reef sites. If you should decide to stay overnight, onboard lodging on the Angel One is available on request for a maximum of 12 people. The day is concluded with a 3:00pm departure to the mainland reaching Tab Lamu harbor around 4:30pm, followed by the transfer back to your hotel.

Koh Tachai/Koh Bon & Richelieu Rock/Wreck cruises:

Several times per week, we offer an unbeatable day dive trip with our new speedboat Angel III with either destination Koh Bon, Koh Tachai or Richelieu Rock and the Bonsoong Wreck. These dive sites are not part of the 9 Similan Islands and offer a completely different dive experience as they are hot spots for manta, whale shark and reef shark encounters. The trip will depart at 08:00am daily from Tab Lamu, Khaolak and return around 5:00pm that same afternoon.
