Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at The Gravel Loader, Shellharbour. I really love taking macro shots of sea urchins, at first glance they appear to be simple black spiky things littering the ocean floor. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me. It seems ironic that such an incredible display of colour and structure be hidden from so many. Photocomp August '04 - Open
Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Bare Island on August 22nd. This little fellow hovered between us for quite a while and seem totally at ease being the third buddy of our dive team. Photocomp August '04 - Open
These guys were everywhere and seemed to get bigger and bigger, I didn't realize they grew so big. Photocomp September '06 - Open
Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 on Legends Reef, Shellharbour, NSW on the 17th October 2004. Unlike most octopuses and shying into his hole, this guy stood his ground and seemed to want to look at us as much as we did him. Photocomp October '04 - Open
Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 (manual stetting)on the 5th March 2005 at Wonderland off Merrimbula, NSW. You've got to love it when you're learning to use your camera settings, and it works. Photocomp March '05 - Open
Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Kurnell, NSW on the 26th Jan 2005. Yes, it's the same frog fish but I love it. These guys are so ugly that they're cute. As usual Kurnell supplies me with something new to me. Photocomp January '05 - Open
Taken on one of the Eden Tugs 06-03-05, NSW. Sometimes you can be in the right place at the right time, no setting up of this shot just pure luck.
Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Bare Island, NSW On the 27th Dec 2004. We had this little fellow pointed out to us by another diver. Instead of searching the net for 3 days to identify, all I had to do was watch the DVD I got for Xmas…"Beneath the Southern Seas"….Thanks Akos. Photocomp January '05 - Open
