Sydney - Blue Ringed Octopus

Hi guys,

I'm just a snorkeller in Sydney i do alot of my diving around botany. I'm really keen on seeing a blue ringed octopus. Can anyone make a recommendation or where i would most likely come across one? and what sort of rocks or conditions should i be looking at?

Cheers,

John.

There are plenty around, I often see them at night. They are hard to spot normally, small and drab in colour plus they hide away.

It would be hard to spot them on snorkel. And just in case you were thinking of doing so, I would not advise picking up rocks searching for them - they will kill you very quickly.
