The 2009 Byron Underwater Festival will be held from April 27 to May 3.

Dolphin Kayaking - every morning 10.00 am

Come Along on our three hour adventure Kayaking with the Dolphins in Byron Bay.... Take in some of the best sights the East Coast has to offer. Learn about local history, aboriginal history, the lighthouse, dolphins and whales. See the Most Easterly Point of the Australian mainland.

Snorkel with the turtles at Julian Rocks - every morning

A snorkel trip to Julian Rocks Marine Reserve includes the boat ride, equipment hire (mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit) and a snorkel lesson (if required). Whilst snorkelling you are supervised by qualified dive staff who will ensure you get the most from your trip to Julian Rocks. Snorkelling with the turtles at Julian Rocks is an adventure you don't want to miss.

Introductory SCUBA Dive - every morning 8 am

Introductory dives run for half a day and include a pool lesson, some theory and a full ocean dive at Julian Rocks in Cape Byron Marine Park under the guidance of an experienced dive instructor. You don't need any prior knowledge to do this dive, however if you suffer from asthma, diabetes or epilepsy you will need a medical certificate that you are fit to dive. You can't dive if you are pregnant or if you are flying within 24 hours after your dive.

Night Dive at Julian Rocks - 28th, 29th and 30th of April 5.30pm - 29th & 30th SOLD OUT

A very rare and special treat. Night dives are something not often organised in Byron Bay so make sure you don't miss out on this opportunity to check out Byron underwater at night. For people booked into the shootout competition, you are allowed to submit photos from this dive as well. Please note - BYO torch - or AUNOC trial torches available at no charge.
