Video Competition 2010-11
The 2010-11 competition ran from September 2010 until June 2011.
Our 2nd Video Competition gave underwater australasia members the
opportunity to win some fantastic prizes and
have their videos judged by an experienced panel.
Categories
There was just one category this year and we will
possibly expand that next year depending on the level of interest and
the quality of entries - your suggestions are welcome
Main prize winners will be chosen in August 2011.

How to enter
By entering this competition you must have read and agreed
to the terms and conditions outlined below.
The email link to send your video links to is available to logged in
members on the members
welcome page. Non-members need to join for free before being able to access that page.
Terms and Conditions
- This competition is open to everyone.
- Entry is open to members of underwater australasia (site
membership is FREE) as well as underwater card holders.
- Entry to this competition is FREE
- Entries can be posted electronically after logging into the
website, and agreeing to these terms and conditions.
- Only video taken in countries covered on underwater australasia
can be entered. Entries submitted must not have won any
other video competition, either locally or internationally and not been
submitted to underwater australasia before.
- Clips must be no longer than 3 minutes in length and minimum 80%
of the clip duration must be underwater
- Submissions are currently only accepted as video links from
vimeo. How to get started: If you haven't already get an account at
vimeo.com - upload your clip and email us the link to your clip.
- Submissions must include videographers full name, a title and a
short description including the place and date (month/year) where your
video was taken as well as the equipment used. You MUST include a
reference to the origin of the music used in your clip and you MUST be
legally allowed to use the music for your production.
- No videos advertising individual resorts, liveaboards etc. are
permitted
- Maximum number of clips entered per videographers per month is 3
- underwater australasia retains the right to publish any submitted
video in our underwater australasia gallery, in electronic promotional
material for underwater australasia as well as in exhibition spaces
such as dive shows and in those cases there will be no payment for the
use of the copyright. We will not sell or give away the rights to use
your videos to any third party without seeking prior consent.
- Entries will be evaluated by the underwater australasia team for
inclusion in the underwater video gallery of underwater australasia. No
correspondence will be entered into.
- Overall winners will be selected from all entries by the underwater australasia team, as well as a number of internationally reknowned underwater videographers (tba)
- Prize winners will be announced on the website as well as in our
monthly underwater eNEWS and occasionally in DiveLog, Scuba Diver
Australasia, X-Ray Mag and other publications - winners will also be
notified via email after judging has taken place.
- All decisions of the judges are final, and not subject to review.
- Final Winners will be announced in August 2011

- Clifton Gardens has always rated as one of my favourite Sydney night dives. I know - a maximum depth of 4m under the jetty means you could snorkel it with short length of garden hose, but it never fails to deliver a unique and unexpected encounter with interesting critters.
