Eaglehawk Dive Centre

National Geographic Magazine photographer David Doubilet rates us as his favorite temperate water dive destination in the world. The landforms in this part of Tasmania result in a great diversity of dive sites. With the magnificent cliffs from Sisters Rocks to Tasman Island creating spectacular underwater walls and the world-famous sea caves in Waterfall Bay. Fur seal colonies, weedy seadragons, and an incredible diversity of colourful marine invertebrates, create unique photographic opportunities from wide angle to super macro.

Eaglehawk Dive Centre has been operating for over 25 years and has over 85 dive sites in the area. Several of our staff are Marine Biologists which makes this dive centre unique in Tasmania. We are a PADI Greenstar dive centre - we have a commitment to the environment, and are a carbon-neutral facility.

The Tasman Peninsula offers something for everyone! It is the prime tourist destination in Tasmania with the convict ruins at Port Arthur, Devil's Kitchen, Tasman Arch and the Blowhole. For scuba diving, the Tasman Peninsula is the perfect venue for a base. The area offers fabulous above-water scenery with massive cliff formations towering up to 277 metres above sea level. These walls continue underwater and combined with the rich invertebrate life provide spectacular diving. In addition, whales and dolphins are regularly sighted on this part of Tasmania's coast.
