Nomad Mini is the newest addition to the BLU3 product line. Our engineering team has accepted feedback from users of Nemo and Nomad to combine the best features of each, so Nomad Mini delivers the sweet spot between portability and performance.

• Nomad Mini is a portable and airline-friendly tankless diving system designed for depths of up to 10 feet/3meters with one battery, or up to 15 feet/5 meters when used with a DiveBoost™ Kit.
• The DiveBoost Kit option allows you to connect a second battery to the unit, increasing your dive time. You can even purchase an extra DiveBoost Kit and attach additional batteries for even longer dive times.

What allows Nomad Mini to be so compact, energy-efficient, and responsive is our patented Smart Reg™ – the first of its kind!

Here’s how it works: A silicone diaphragm inside the Smart Reg™ moves when the diver breathes. A waterproofed sensor measures the diaphragm movement – it then sends an electronic signal which triggers the compressor to pump air at exactly the time and speed that the diver is inhaling.

The Compressor

Designed for deeper depths, Nomad Mini utilizes a custom compressor built by our team in Florida, USA. This compressor has been tailored to meet the requirements of deeper dives with higher pressure and flow rates. Our compressor can handle saltwater intrusion without damage, making maintenance simple and hassle-free.

Nomad Mini is surrounded by a foam shell that provides inherent buoyancy and ensures the unit is unsinkable. For added buoyancy, stability, and visibility, Nomad Mini can be used with the Dry Bag Float or the Floatation Tube.

The Battery Pack

Nomad Mini will be powered by our new 86 WH battery, which can also be connected using the Nomad Mini’s DiveBoost™ Kit to give users even more dive time! Our engineering team redesigned the battery to match the increased performance of Nomad Mini, which is coming into the product lineup as we have phased out Nemo. The battery pack that is swappable and rechargeable. The pack and connector are IP67-rated to handle saltwater environments. It's allowed in carry-on luggage on most airlines and a charge-level indicator is located right on the battery for easy monitoring. With the DiveBoost Kit, divers can add an extra battery and increase dive time. Be sure to grab a few extra packs so that you can dive all day long!

Dry Bag Float or Flotation Tube

The Nomad Mini comes with the versatile Dry Bag Float, which offers buoyancy, visibility, and waterproof storage. This included accessory features two air reservoirs that can be easily inflated by mouth, providing an impressive 44 lb of buoyancy. It also features a convenient waterproof compartment for storing your dry items during your dive.

For those looking for additional buoyancy and visibility, we offer the Flotation Tube as an optional accessory. The Flotation Tube is designed to enhance your diving experience with Nomad Mini, providing extra buoyancy and improved visibility in the water. Please note that the Flotation Tube is a separate accessory and can be purchased separately to complement your Nomad Mini dive system (see tick box option here).

The Air Hose

Nomad’s 25-foot air hose is the perfect balance of weight, flexibility, and durability. The coils prevent the hose from kinking and make it super easy to handle. Bungee the hose up for easy storage. (Hose is longer than max depth to allow for more scope, making Nomad easier to tow while diving at max depth).

A backup air supply is recommended in all methods of diving. It’s especially important for our novice divers to be prepared with a method for a slow and safe ascent in every circumstance. Spare Air® is the smallest redundant SCUBA system available with enough air to get you to the surface in an “out-of-air” situation.

Included is the Spare Air® air SCUBA tank refill adapter and Safety Leash.

Safety

Diving - even to a depth of only 5 meters - can involve dangers/risks if you just "jump in" without any training. Therefore, Nemo and the Nomad units come with a thorough and good online course and printed manual in the product box (more on that below). If you want to buy a Nomad Mini by BLU3 you must be able to swim 200 meters and "tread the water" for 10 minutes. Age Limits: Users under 18 supervised by an adult at all times. The two most important things about safe Nomad diving are to always breathe normally / exhale during ascent, and often train to quickly release the lead belt. (practice picking up / putting on the buckle, and sometimes releasing it)

Before using Nomad Mini

Nomad Mini by BLU3 comes with a very thorough web course we want you to complete. It deals with safe diving with shallow air in shallow water in general, and the use of Nomad Mini. This course is currently available in English only. When purchasing Nomad Mini you must at the same time confirm that you read through "medical declaration" (link listed below), that you read and sign BLU3's disclaimer (link listed below) and that you must complete the online course on the link below. Only after completing the online course will your Nomad be covered by a 1-year warranty. You agree to this when you confirm that the course will be completed.
