Tropical and temperate waters converge at the most easterly point of the Australian mainland to create a habitat for an amazing variety of marine life.

Byron Underwater takes you on a marine journey through the seasons to observe mating octopus - hunting wobbegong sharks - massive schools of pelagic predators, such as kingfish, mullaways and trevallies.

Discover a haven for sea turtles and one of the few remaining refuges for the critically endangered grey nurse shark. Watch the anemone fish vigorously defending its host, manta rays soaring and learn more about the mysterious and prehistoric looking leopard sharks.

Submerge yourself at Julian Rocks a sanctuary below the water's surface, where nature truly celebrates with an astonishing abundance of life.
