The Fotocore GTPro underwater strobe is designed for photographers who shoot wide-angle scenes at speed and don’t want their lighting to be the limiting factor. With fast recycle times, high sustained output, and a circular flash tube optimized for broad coverage, the GTPro is built to keep pace with action-heavy dives where timing and consistency matter more than automation.

In real-world use, this strobe shines for shooters firing rapid sequences—schools of fish, fast-moving subjects, or wide reef scenes—thanks to its ability to maintain output while syncing up to 10 frames per second. That performance comes with a clear tradeoff: the GTPro is a fully manual strobe with no S-TTL or TTL support. For photographers who already understand manual flash control, it’s a powerful, predictable tool.

Best for: Wide-angle still photographers shooting fast action, sequences, or burst modes.
Not for: Shooters expecting S-TTL or camera-driven TTL exposure—this strobe is manual only.
Extremely fast recycle times (0.1–1s) support continuous shooting up to 10 fps.

Common confusion: Buyers often assume TTL support due to the LCD and multi-mode flash — GTPro does not support S-TTL or TTL.

Cables
The Fotocore GT-Pro Underwater Strobe can be triggered via both fiber optic cable and traditional electrical cables. On the housing side the contact vary depending on the UW-housing brand you use. On the strobe side it is Sea&Sea style fibre 6-pin (S6 Seacam) connection and can be connected with:

• Sea & Sea style fibre optic cables
• SUPE or SEACAM 6-pin sync cord

The strobe is powered by FOUR 18640 Li batteries (included). The strobe's impressive battery and charger have the capacity to fire up to 6000 flashes (650 flashes on full). and 10 frames high-speed continuous shooting at 1st mode.
