Meet the Kraken Sports new model strobe, the KS160! Featuring 160Ws at the highest power, a dedicated USB-C charged battery pack, a round flash tube, and a tank like aluminum body, the KS160 can handle whatever subject matter or conditions the underwater realm throws at it.
For the Kraken Sports KR‑S160 Underwater Strobe, the sync cord connection on the strobe uses a Sea & Sea–style 5-pin electronic sync port. This is the standard bulkhead for electrical sync cords on many strobes from brands like Sea & Sea and Inon.
If you want to trigger the KR-S160 from your housing’s electronic flash trigger, you’d use a 5-pin electronic sync cable with Sea & Sea-style connectors at the strobe end.
Alternatively, the KR-S160 also supports fiber-optic triggering through the optical port (so you can fire it from another strobe or your camera’s flash without an electrical cord).
