STC Aqua-Red Underwater Fader - 67mm and 77mm

When taking underwater photos, the light you are recording is filtered by the water it passes through. Longer wavelength reds and oranges are absorbed, leaving only blue at about 10m depth.

STC Aqua-Red Underwater Fader uses a polarizing film and rotating mechanism to adjust the spectrum of shorter wavelength greens and blues at different depth or horizontal underwater distance. The design of a pressure relief hole allows drainage of liquid or air, and also it’s available to separate the fader for cleaning. In addition, STC Ultra Layer® coating technology allows filters to be boiled 90 minutes in 3% salty water at 70°C, the filter is durable and easy to clean.

• Made by German Schott® B270 optical crown glass and Anti-erosion polarizing film. The thickness of each glass is 1.6mm.
• Step-less fader control from near clear to deep red.
• Correct the color on camera image while shooting underwater.
