Garmin Explorer App: GARMIN EXPLORE APP: Sync with the Garmin Explore website or the mobile app on your compatible smartphone for navigation, waypoints, courses, activities and collections. Also get access to trip planning and topographical mapping.
Other Garmin Devices: Remotely control inReach Mini 2 to send and receive messages, start and stop tracking, and trigger an interactive SOS using compatible Garmin handhelds, wearables or other mobile devices.
Garmin PILOT™ App: Pair with Garmin Pilot app to easily send and receive text messages from the cockpit — even without mobile reception. The app can use the inReach Mini 2 device’s GPS position and location sharing abilities for your flight.

COMPATIBILITY

You can pair the inReach Mini 2 with the Descent series, but via Bluetooth at the surface only, not underwater. Garmin specifies that Descent dive computers (like Descent Mk2, Mk2i, G2, etc.) can connect to the Mini 2 when it's in a dive case rated to about 100 m. This pairing lets the dive computer trigger SOS, send/receive preset messages, request weather, and more at the surface.
