Description

Nemo is a compact dive system that supports 1 diver to 10 feet with a rechargeable battery pack that lasts over an hour. Air is drawn from the surface above the water and pumped through the air hose to deliver clean breathing air to a diver up to 10 feet deep.

Nemo’s custom-designed compressor is fully sealed and built to interact with saltwater. Patent-pending Smart Reg™ technology enables Nemo to be the world’s smallest dive system and weigh in at only about 10 pounds.

Battery Powered

Nemo’s lithium-ion battery weighs about 1.2 pounds and can be easily swapped for an additional 60+ minutes of run time. Recharge time is 3 hours or less. The battery is less than 100 Wh (watt-hours) so it can be brought onto an aeroplane in carry-on luggage.

Patent Pending

Nemo’s Smart Reg™ is patent-pending and unlike any other diving regulator on the market, and it is what enables Nemo to be more portable and energy-efficient than any other dive system on the market. Inside of the Smart Reg™, a waterproofed sensor detects when a diver inhales and it then sends an electronic signal which triggers the compressor to pump air at exactly the time and speed that the diver is inhaling.

Nemo pumps only the exact pressure, volume, and flow rate that the diver needs at their particular depth which means it uses just a fraction of the energy of any other underwater breathing system.

New in Australia in 2020! Nemo by BLU3 is very lightweight, compact, travel-friendly and rechargeable diving equipment. Weighs only 5 kg. Fits in a suitcase and the battery is approved for aircraft. (put in the hand luggage).

Nemo comes complete with one battery and charger, blue/white "Alpha" dive flag that attaches to the air intake tube, and floatation that inflates and quickly attaches to Nemo with quick-release buckles. This is always used in sea/lake/rivers. With the yellow float ring mounted, Nemo is very sturdy and has a full 10 kg buoyancy. In the pool, you can use Nemo without the float.

Nemo is manufactured in Florida, USA, by a company with 40 years of production/experience with this type of diving equipment (surface compressor, hose down, so-called Hookah diving). Nemo is CE approved/marked.

All Users must be able to

• Swim 200 metres without stopping, without a time limit
• Tread water for 10 minutes continuously

Age Limits

• Users must be 8 years of age or older to Nemo dive but are restricted to diving in a swimming pool only, in water shallow enough so that they can stand with their head above the surface of the water.
• Users must be 10 years of age or older to dive outside of the pool.
• Users under the age of 18 must-have parental or guardian supervision at all times.

Safety

Diving - even to a depth of only 3 meters - can involve dangers/risks if you just "jump in" without any training. Therefore, Nemo comes with a thorough and good online course and printed manual in the product box (more on that below). If you want to buy a Nemo by BLU3 you must be able to swim 200 meters and "tread the water" for 10 minutes. Age Limits: Users under 18 supervised by an adult at all times. Users must be over 10 years of age to use the location other than the pool. Users between 8 and 10 years only in the pool, at a depth no greater than that they can stand with their heads above water. The two most important things about safe Nemo diving are to always breathe normally / exhale during ascent, and often train to quickly release the lead belt. (practice picking up / putting on the buckle, and sometimes releasing it)

Before using Nemo

Nemo by BLU3 comes with a very thorough web course we want you to complete. It deals with safe diving with shallow air in shallow water in general, and the use of Nemo. This course is currently available in English only. When purchasing Nemo you must at the same time confirm that you read through "medical declaration" (link listed below), that you read and sign BLU3's disclaimer (link listed below) and that you must complete the online course on the link below. Only after completing the online course will your Nemo be covered by a 1-year warranty. You agree to this when you confirm that the course will be completed.
