Lembeh Resort

North Sulawesi offers unparalleled marine biodiversity, with a wide range of dive experience options. But for divers interested in searching out encounters with bizarre and beautiful critters, Lembeh Strait hosts the best muck diving on the planet. And besides the sand, divers can take the plunge on pinnacles, walls and slopes of hard and soft coral gardens as well as a number of wrecks.

Lembeh Resort offers comfortable and spacious accommodations for visitors in an idyllic location overlooking Lembeh Strait while the diving operations are run by critters@lembeh, who has been diving Lembeh Strait for Lembeh Resort since 2002. critters@lembeh is the first dive operation in the Strait to offer Nitrox to discerning divers to maximize the level of safety and enjoyment for the long shallow dives that the strait is famous for. For a truly exceptional experience in a relaxed and professional atmosphere, Lembeh Resort is the obvious choice.

Boat Description:

Critters@Lembeh divers are brought to the dive sites in comfort via one of our seven custom twin-engine Dive Boats. Each boat is fully covered with plenty of padded camera & accessory storage. Our boats are operated by licensed captains and have all the necessary safety equipment such as oxygen and first aid. Fresh drinking water and fruit is provided on board. Divers' gear is brought to the boat and assembled by the Dive Staff then, after diving, it is removed, rinsed in freshwater, and stored in the Guest's gear locker each night.

Private boat service is available for those who wish to have longer dive times, or dive at different times.

Sites Visited:

The majority of the diving is done in the calm bays or along the lush coastline of both mainland Sulawesi and Lembeh Island. The body of water that separates the two is known as the Lembeh Strait and is less than 3 kilometers wide at its widest point. Lembeh Resort is ideally situated at the midpoint of Lembeh Island, giving our Guests easy access to the majority of Dive Sites in under 15 minutes using our custom Dive Boats. Our local Dive Guides have an unmatched knowledge of the area, with a combined 60,000+ dives in Lembeh Strait alone.

Critters@Lembeh also offers 3-tank Day Trips to Bangka Island. Rich reefs and fish filled blue water awaits divers after a short one hour boat ride north. Lunch is served on board or at a local white sand beach. Bangka diving is a good break for those who wish to do more than muck diving while in Lembeh.

A Turtle Nursery At Wakatobi A Turtle Nursery At Wakatobi
Sea Turtles can live to be 100 years old, but most don’t survive their first few days. In the wild, the tiny hatchlings typically encounter a gauntlet of predators as they hatch and make their way from beachside nests to open water, and they remain especially vulnerable those first few months of life. When nature is in balance, this attrition is a normal part of the circle of life. But when turtles become threatened by factors such as habitat loss, or predators like fish and birds, they may need a little extra help to maintain a normal population. This is where Wakatobi Dive Resort has stepped in.

The WAKATOBI Dive Resort is located in a remote area of Indonesia: Southeast Sulawesi. The currents that pass through channels and along the steep drop offs carry an incredible diversity of marine life that settles on the substrates surrounding the atolls.
