We’re proud to present a stellar line-up of internationally acclaimed underwater photographers, authors and marine scientists showcasing their latest projects on stage! Immerse yourself in an inspirational evening of adventure and discovery from behind the lens.

The Underwater Tour Awards

Celebrating the best of the ocean, the Underwater Tour Awards 2020 encourage and inspire passion, exploration and discovery from behind the lens.

A natural extension of the annual Underwater Tour speaker series, this international photography competition continues and enhances the special relationship built between our stellar touring speakers and valued audiences.

We encourage passionate photographers from around the globe to take part, promoting the art of aquatic photography, raising awareness of our incredible marine and aquatic environments and sharing adventures and discoveries from behind the lens with our like-minded community.

Prizes:

Cash prizes to be won for each of the 5 category winners, plus a stunning coffee table book of winning images and selection of 2020 speaker images, trophy and printed certificate.

PLUS an overarching Guru Award is offered for the winning portfolio submission. Guru is the Dharawal word for deep water. The Dharawal People are the original custodians of the Southern Sydney area. The winner will receive a Whales Underwater whale swim experience of 7 nights/5 days on the water in Tonga, trophy and certificate.

For photographers aged 18 or over. The competition complies with the AIPP competition guidelines. Disclaimer: The Guru prize is non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash. Please note that prizes must be claimed within one year of the awards announcements, unless otherwise specified or the prize will be forfeited. The Guru Award whale swim prize is subject to availability and must be completed by end of season 2021 program.
