Great White day trip

I'm looking for a cage-diving day trip near Adelaide in the first week of April for me and a friend, but all I can find are live-aboard multi-day trips. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks...

G'Day mate,

I know this reply is all too late, but for other reading...

There are a few day trips out to the Great White Sharks in the Great Australian Bite. However, they leave from Port Lincoln and are not as successfull as live-a-board trips.

I work at Abyss Scuba Diving in Sydney, and we take a group of divers down there every year. I travell around the world taking dive trips and this is one trip i look forward to all year! Last year the group brilliant, we had 4m Great Whites every day of our trip. This is one type of diving you never get sick of!

The trip from Port Lincoln to the Neptune Islands is quite long. The Cage Diving operators have a licence to burley for sharks in the surrounding waters of these island, only. The trip takes you past the 2 gulfs at the eastern side of the Great Australian bite, and then out to the Neptune Islands. It does take some time.

To get the really good, consitant results you really need to be chumming up for days. This is when you get the brilliant action that you have dreamt of!

I hope this helps anyone interested out.

Yours Truly, Carl Fallon
