At Underwater Australasia we are heavily into Underwater Drones - ROVs including service, training and hire - please check our in depth website Underwater Robotic Australia and make sure to give us a call for your ROV needs.
This product has been discontinued - we are awaiting the new M2S in September 2023
The Chasing M2 200m Cable Version is an underwater ROV/Drone designed for professional users and industrial applications. It allows for omni-movement in all directions, and has a powerful mount extension system, including an optional robot arm, to meet the needs of multi-professional scenarios.
The Chasing M2 200m Cable Version is an eight-thrusters professional observation-level underwater drone designed for professional users and industrial applications. It can dive down to 100 meters and adopts 8 sets of propellers in full vector layout, which enables the drone to reach 6-axis of movement - including going front and back, up and down, moving sideways and rolling, etc. The Chasing M2 can also hover in place for observations or keep its 12 megapixels 4K UHD Electronically Stabilised Camera and 2000 lumens LED lights at a fixed attitude while moving.
Supporting attachments such as gripper, GoPro, external LED lights, laser callipers and other sensors means the Chasing M2 ROV can meet the needs of a variety of application scenarios. With the gripper attachment (add-on) it can help rescue and salvage operations by replacing some traditional manual salvage. Saving time, costs and greatly reducing personnel risks when danger is involved. The open platform of the ROV is designed to ensure stability and expandability for future industrial applications.
For the first time in industry application-level underwater drones, the battery can be detached and replaced in a simple operation for continuous dive operations with practically unlimited battery life. The Chasing M2 Underwater Drone includes a 97.68WH lithium battery providing 2-4 hours dive time and an optional 200WH battery is also available for extended time underwater. Additionally, the included 64GB microSD card is user-replaceable and the Chasing M2 can support up to 512GB memory cards.
Chasing M2 ROV drone adopts a portable compact 5kg aluminium body design that can be quickly set up to carry out operations. Traditional ROVs are generally large, heavy, expensive, and have high barriers to use. The Chasing M2 has undergone many case studies and practices before its release and can provide a reliable, efficient, and safe solution for professional use. With the new professional remote-control handle and optional electronic spool with automatic winding, it can meet the application requirements of various professional scenarios such as underwater scientific research, fish farming, hull inspection, and reservoir dam inspection.
M2 has 8 Vectored Thrusters layout which allows OMNI movement in all directions. The aluminium alloy compact body allows single-person operation and quick-deployment in 3 minutes.
with sophisticated attachments such as and other for many different industry needs.
The Chasing M2 ROV's highly portable compact aluminium body comes in at 5kg and can be quickly set up to carry out operations were traditional ROVs are generally too large, heavy or expensive to use - providing a reliable, efficient, and safe solution.
Compatible with optional attachments such as Robot Claw, GoPro camera, external LED lights, laser scaler other sensors, the Chasing M2 ROV can meet the needs of a variety of application scenarios. Its open platform is designed to ensure expandability for future industrial applications.
The included 97.68WH lithium battery provides around 2-4 hours dive-time and an optional 200WH battery is also available for separate purchase for extended operating times.
The patented Anti-Stuck Motor technology greatly reduces the probability of the motor getting stuck in the sand, and it can operate safely and reliably in all kinds of complicated underwater environments.
M2 ROV can hover accurately at any attitude with the practical one-touch Depth-Lock Mode - used for shooting, observation and operation from any Angle.
The Chasing M2 ROV can record underwater temperature and depth, to provide you with professional underwater data support.
M2 offers F1.8 FOV camera, equipped with a 1/2.3 SONY CMOS Sensor and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) anti-video-shake feature, further improving the camera's low light performance and dynamic range greatly. The ROV can take photos while recording video and is also capable of time-lapse photography and slow-motion together with supporting quick editing features.
M2 has two 2000 lumen LED lights (three gears), which can make up for the dimness of deep water and night vision, improve the underwater visual distance and clarity, and highly restore the true underwater colour.
Download anytime and anywhere with the included removable 64GB SD memory card or change it out for a higher-capacity one (up to 512GB).
