Julian Rocks: by Wandy Hochgrebe; Named by Captain Cook in 1776, Julian Rocks in Byron Bay consists of ancient sedimentary rock, remains of a volcanic eruption more than 20 million years ago. It is an extension of Cape Byron separated by water and forms a most unique marine reserve, providing shelter and food for more than 500 tropical and temperate fish species alone!

The Byron Underwater Festival 2007: by Wandy Hochgrebe; The first Byron Underwater Festival, which was held May 10-13 was a great success with more than 30 divers entering in the Underwater Shoot-Out and over 100 artworks submitted to the ‘Marine Visions’ Art Competition. The aim of the event was and is to be more than just another digital shoot-out competition.

The day training became real....: by Ric Mingramm; 2006 saw a different holiday as our usual foursome had now become a twosome (plus youngest son Fletcher), nevertheless Andrew ("The Bitch") and I weren't going to let that stop us having our annual week away diving.
